Ordered this product to figure out what my dogs were barking at in a dimly lit area. Using them at night and clarity of vision is good. How far can I see in complete darkness?
In complete darkness, the device requires the built-in IR illuminator to be turned on to provide visibility up to 984 ft. Actual viewing distance may vary depending on the IR illumination level, weather conditions, terrain, and surrounding environment.
Is the 850nm IR illuminator visible to animals or people?
The 850nm IR illuminator emits a faint visible red glow at the source when activated. While it is generally unobtrusive, highly alert wildlife or game animals at close range may notice the glow.
How long does the battery last on a full charge?
Battery life depends on how the device is used, particularly the IR illumination level. Equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, the device provides approximately 8–16 hours of operation during daytime use with the IR illuminator turned off. When used continuously in complete darkness with the IR illuminator at maximum brightness, battery life is approximately 3–4 hours. Performance may be reduced in extremely cold temperatures.

Why is my view blurry or out of focus?
Digital night vision devices require manual focusing. Rotate the front focus wheel slowly until the image becomes sharp. Readjust the focus whenever viewing objects at different distances to maintain optimal image clarity.
Why is the screen completely white or blurry during the day?
If you are using the device in bright daylight, make sure the IR illuminator is turned OFF. Operating the IR illuminator during daytime can overload the image sensor, resulting in overexposure and an extremely bright or washed-out image. With the IR illuminator turned off, the device functions normally as a digital camera during daytime.
Can I use it during the day?
Yes. Simply turn off the IR illuminator, and the device functions as a high-resolution digital camera for normal daytime use.
Is this a thermal imaging device?
No. This is a digital night vision device, not a thermal imaging camera. It uses available ambient light or the built-in 850nm IR illuminator to provide visibility in low-light and complete darkness.
